A simple dialogue
Use the Spanish phrases to translate the English dialogue. Write it out and perform it.
- What work experience do you have?
- First, I worked as a waitress.
- I was a student in Reading University.
- I sold newspapers in nineteen ninety-two.
- I got a job as a D.J. in nineteen ninety-five.
- I ran a café in nineteen ninety-six.
- I became an English teacher in nineteen ninety-eight.
- I taught English in London, Barcelona, Gdynia in Poland, Cambridge in England, and Lima in Peru.
- In two thousand and four I looked after adults with learning difficulties.
- In two thousand and five I planted trees for the Forestry Commission.
- In two thousand and nine I taught Spanish in a community college.
- In twenty sixteen I started work at the local high school.
- I got a job supporting children with learning difficulties in twenty twenty-five.
- I also started writing and publishing books in twenty fourteen, and I still do.
Use these phrases to translate the dialogue.

El número 100
En español, 100 se dice cien, pero cuando se combina con otros números, como 101 o 130, se usa ciento.
- 101: ciento uno
- 130: ciento treinta
In English and in Spanish the words “and” or “y” have different positions.
